St. Bruno's lily is one of the delights of the Alps in the summer, and is quite easy to establish in the garden. It has tall stems with trumpet-shaped white flowers, not unlike small Gladiolus flowers, opening along the length. See also Anthericum (St. Bernard's lily.)
Paradisea liliastrum has pure white flowers, more substantial than those of St. Bernard's lily, and so they don't have the starry appearance. It is widespread in the European Alps, occasionally occurring in large numbers, but more often encountered as a special treat.
