Meconopsis 'Marit'
Meconopsis 'Marit' is a splendid white-flowered hybrid, originally grown from seed from Meconopsis x sarsonsii, which had probably been by pollinated by M. 'Lingholm'. So that gives M. integrifolia, M. grandis and M. baileyi (twice) as its grandparents. It was raised around 1980 by Marit Espejord in Tromsų in Norway, and is generally regarded as the finest white-flowered variety. Hybrid of a blue poppy with Meconopsis integrifolia with white flowers.
